Handwritten ceremonies for love, loss & new beginnings
Personal ceremonies, rituals and support for life’s most meaningful transitions, created with care, thought and honesty
Ceremonies that honour real life
Life is rarely neat, simple or perfectly traditional. I create ceremonies that hold space for real people, real stories and the moments that deserve to be marked with meaning.
Each ceremony is written slowly and by hand, never from a template and never rushed. It is shaped with care around the life, love or story at the heart of it.
My approach is thoughtful, inclusive and gently reflective, with space for storytelling, simple ritual and, where it feels right, a quiet spiritual thread. I can also weave in elements from different faiths, beliefs or traditions in a way that feels respectful and true to you.
I work with individuals and couples from all backgrounds, including same-sex couples, creating ceremonies that feel warm, personal and emotionally honest.
Based in Cambridgeshire, with deep personal ties to France and Portugal, my work is influenced by meaningful gatherings, slower living, thoughtful ritual and the places that hold our stories.
Not sure where to begin? A first conversation can simply be a chance to talk things through.
Funerals & Celebration of Life Ceremonies
A personal, thoughtful way to honour a life, without templates or scripts.
Each ceremony is written from the beginning, shaped around the person being remembered and the people who loved them.
Together, we can weave in story, reflection and, where it feels right, gentle ritual or a quiet spiritual thread. The aim is to create something meaningful, unhurried and true to the life being honoured.

Weddings, Elopements & Vow Renewals
Beautiful, personal ceremonies for couples who want something with more meaning, more feeling, and more of themselves in it.
Each ceremony is written from the beginning, shaped with care around your story, your relationship and the journey that has brought you here.
Whether you are marrying, remarrying or renewing your vows, I create ceremonies that feel natural, unhurried and deeply personal, with space for reflection, storytelling and, where it feels right, simple ritual.
Ceremonies are available across the UK and in France.
A warm and welcoming way to celebrate a new life, a growing family or a new chapter together.
Naming ceremonies offer a meaningful alternative to a church service, bringing together the people who matter most to welcome a child, honour their place in the family and mark the beginning of something special.
Why choose me?
My ceremonies are shaped by my professional experience, but also by my own life.
I have known deep love, long partnership, blended family life, and the tenderness that comes with building something new together.
I have also known deep loss.
After a long illness, I lost my husband. Grief changes the shape of everything. It is not only about saying goodbye. It is about learning how to live in a world that feels very different from the one you knew before.
That experience has changed how I see people, relationships, family and the moments we choose to mark.
I understand that love is not always simple. Families can be layered. Grief can be complicated. Joy and sadness can sit very close together.
That is why I believe ceremonies need room for the whole story. Not just the neat version. Not just the expected words. The real things. The tender things. The parts that matter.
Alongside my own life experience, I bring over 35 years of professional experience as an HR Director, coach and chaplain, supporting people through change, transition and difficult conversations. I have spent much of my working life listening carefully, helping people find words, and sitting with moments that need patience and care.
As a modern celebrant, I offer a calm and steady presence. My role is to help create a ceremony that feels personal, thoughtful and true to the people at the centre of it.
Alongside my celebrant work, I also offer one-to-one support for people moving through change, whether that is after loss, within a relationship, or at a point where life is beginning to look different.
The people who come to me are often looking for something a little different.
Something real, not performed.
Something thoughtful, not rushed.
Something that feels honest.
I notice the small details, the quiet meaning, the things that might otherwise go unsaid, and I help shape them into a ceremony that feels right.
If this feels like the kind of support you are looking for, you are very welcome to get in touch.
How I work with you
Every ceremony begins with listening. I take time to understand the people, stories, emotions and meaning behind the moment, so nothing feels rushed, scripted or forced.
A conversation first
It starts with a gentle conversation about what you need, what matters most and what kind of ceremony or support would feel right for you.
Time to understand the story
I will listen carefully to the memories, relationships, details and feelings that sit at the heart of the ceremony.
Written with thought and care
Each ceremony is created slowly and personally, shaped around real lives rather than templates or standard wording.
Held with calm and warmth
On the day, I will lead with steadiness, care and emotional awareness, helping the ceremony feel personal, meaningful and true.
If you are planning a funeral, celebration of life, ceremony or support after loss, I would be happy to listen and guide you through the next step.
Cambridgeshire, France and the places that shape us
My work is rooted in Cambridgeshire, but France and Portugal are also an important part of my story.
Their slower pace, old buildings, gardens, gathering around tables, candlelight and quiet sense of ritual all sit gently within the feeling of my work. These countries have shaped me and my work.
Over time, this connection will also shape future ceremonies, retreats and gatherings in France and Portugal, creating space for people to mark love, loss, change and new beginnings in meaningful surroundings.
