A Grief Conversation
Connection, restoration and rediscovering life alongside grief.
My celebrancy and ritual work often brings me alongside people living with loss. That care also finds expression in A Grief Conversation, a separate partnership initiative I co-founded with Sonya Kearns.
Drawing on our professional experience and lived understanding of bereavement, we are bringing people together through compassionate conversations, group gatherings, remembrance, practical support and restorative experiences. Our developing programme includes workshops and plans for residential retreats in Portugal.
It complements the personal ceremonies I create through Sarah Blake Ceremonies, offering a shared space for community and life alongside grief.

I believe there is something sacred in taking time to honour a life, a love or a change within ourselves.
My work brings together professional celebrancy, volunteer lay chaplaincy, more than 35 years of coaching and supporting people through change, and experience in mediation. My own lived understanding of grief also shapes the care I bring: I know that love, loss and family stories rarely fit neatly into a script.
I listen for the things that make someone unmistakably themselves. The laughter, the complicated stories, the quiet gestures and the words that are difficult to find. Together, we turn these into a ceremony that feels individual, thoughtful and true.
You may have a faith, a spiritual practice, or simply a sense that this moment deserves more. You are welcome as you are. We will make space for what matters to you, with warmth, creativity and steady care.
